It's been fun!

So, I’ve been thinking a lot about this decision for a few months now, and I’ve finally come to the conclusion that Roxy’s RendezVous will be no more...

With bittersweet feelings, I’m officially closing the blog. I feel like I might shed a few tears, but all this means is that my platform for expression is changing. I am no longer that crazy party girl with hot dates every week that I was 2 and a half years ago. My priorities have shifted since Roxy’s premiere in September 2009. Man, does time fly when you’re having fun!

My new adventure will be to start up a new blog that is more relevant to my life at the moment. Something true to me; that still embraces a creative-sexy-fun and more mature lifestyle. Something I don’t mind sharing with everyone, including my family if they wanted to take a peak. Something that’s simpler to manage, because sometimes there’s no time in a day to update a blog!
I realize this new blog probably won’t be popular or get praise, but I need to continue something for me that lets me share creative thoughts and ideas with the world. Whether or not anyone listens is besides the point ;)

So I say to my dedicated readers: whether they are lovers or haters: thank you for having fun with me all these years! I enjoyed every moment of it! Roxy will always be a part of me ;)

Kisses xx

Appreciation

I got a humbling surprise in the mail yesterday. A good friend of mine who lives in Toronto sent me a snail mail letter about how much she appreciates me; “the top 5 reasons why i'm awesome”. lol

At first she made me laugh, but by the end i was in tears. It's rare these days that we tell each other how we feel. We have so much technology available, but somehow it seems that this only allows us to be more disconnected from each other. It honestly felt good to know how much someone appreciates me, and to have it said in handwritten letter makes it so much more personal.

I'm guilty of not calling friends i used to call because i see how they're doing on Facebook. But they don't know that i care/think about them. And let's be honest, a phone call or coffee date with a friend is A MILLION TIMES better than a “Facebook like”.

On this note, i will not allow myself to ONLY use my blog or Facebook to say much i care about my friends. I will make it my mission to tell them/show them, in some way, how much i love and appreciate them.

Thank you Val xx You really made my day yesterday!
