Interesting fact about me ; I was born in England, on the exact date that Princess Diana and Charles wed in 1981. My mom got the official commemorative tea cup of the occasion and I cherish it. And by chance, my parents just got back from a trip to England tonight! And my thoughtful mom bought me the official Will&Kate commemorative mug to add to my collection! So, now i'm set! Alarm is waking me up at 5am to watch the ceremony! Drinks tomorrow night with friends to celebrate the event! So, it's time to us watch The Royal Wedding, and realize that on any day now, there is a possibility of us meeting OUR Prince Charming ;)

Friends
I'm so lucky to have my FRIENDS.

I don't know about you, but my favorite show growing up was FRIENDS. That's all we'd ever gossip about in the high school hallways. Ok, well FRIENDS and boys!!
But, today watching a random re-run of Friends made me appreciate the show with a whole new light. Because, now, I AM those girls. I'm their ages! I feel a whole new connection to Rachel, who is trying to find herself in her career, who is always recovering from a break-up, and who counts on her friends every step of the way!
Today's episode was all about their 30 birthdays! It just so happens that 2011 for me and my friends is the year of our dirty thirties! lol
The episode was hilarious! I can sooo relate! ...We've all got drunk at inappropriate moments. (haven't we?!) We've all realized that dating younger men doesn't get you what you want! We've all got a list of things "to do before we turn 30". We've all supported friends and consoled them on THEIR 30th birthdays! We all freak out. We analyze too much and we think of everything we thought we should have at this point in our lives... And we all plan everything out just like Rachel does! You have to watch that episode to understand ;)
But all in all, shows like FRIENDS, like Sex And The City, they make us soon-to-be thirty-something girls feel less alone. Thank god for them AND for our OWN amazing friends!

I Want to Be a Downtown Girl!
I've found my new favorite TV show! Thx J! You know me well ;)
It's MTV's new reality show called Downtown Girls. There's only 2 episodes so far. And it's fabulous.

it's great. i love it. i want more.
The story follows a bunch of boy crazy best friends who live together in New York City, and are trying to find their Mr Right!
The main girl, Shallon Lester, is a vlogger and writes an online column for Glamour Magazine called Smitten. Totally cute and well written. Here's her article on Recylcing Your Ex! I tell you, she's the cutest!
Alright enough with listening to me rave about these girls, go watch the show!

How fun is that?! I have fun with my married friends and all, but how much fun would it be if we were ALL single girls?!!! hehe just food for thought... husbands plz don't send me hate mail !The first episode, they try throwing an “recycle your ex-boyfriend” party!! Hilarious and such a BAD idea! And, in the latest episode, 3 of the BFFs stage a “love intervention” for their friend, because she keeps choosing the wrong guys! Sound familiar ladies?! I tell you -- I should be on this show! Think of the crazy times i would have, and the stories i would have for you! Dang, i'm just in the wrong city!

VAMP DIARIES FINALLY on tonight!
![]() |
I don't know about you, but i am TOTALLY addicted to The Vampire Diaries!! I admit 100% that i'm one of their teenybopper fans! I have no shame in it; Paul Wesley makes me crazy! And it seems like DOUBLE* the number of Gossip Girl viewers agree with me (*stated in Nylon Magazine)!!

Personally (now now don't get upset anyone) I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Twilight BOOKS. In my mind, nothing can beat them. But, the movies... well, i love them because i love the story so much, and the characters (that i've created in my mind), but the acting... we can all agree.. is not so impressive. HOWEVER, Paul Wesley, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder in Vampire Diaries... have a great balance of raw hotness and good acting skills. I'm not talking about ALL the characters on the show (ahem... Vicki, Tyler and Sheriff Forbes). But in general, i enjoy the show more than laugh at how bad the acting is!!! lol
I have to say though, I've never read the series of books that preempted this TV show, so maybe I'd feel differently about the characters if i'd read about them beforehand (have any of you?). But, who knows! I have enough books lined up to read, so for now, i'll just watch the TV show that i love so much :)
Read the online article from Nylon Magazine that got me excited about tonight's new episode!! ENJOY!!
