HELLO

Hi friends... it's been a while!
I'm so sorry that i haven't been writing. I feel like i needed to get off my computer this summer, be outside and have fun. You can't blame me for that! Montreal has had amazing weather!

Also... i'm not dating at the moment, i'm actually (for once) in a committed relationship. So... it's a bit hard to share bad date behaviors when i'm with someone who's making me happy.
Trust me, we've had our moments of turmoil! We broke up for 5 months... that was more distress than any couple needs! But, we seemed to have come through it stronger and happier than ever. I made a promise not to discuss our relationship online. I know that would be very juicy for YOU guys, but it wouldn't bode well for me and my happiness at the moment...

So that being said, I can say that i just took a wonderful “non-honeymoon honeymoon” to Los Cabos Mexico with my guy. It was magical, romantic, adventurous, fun, hilarious, gastronomic, intimate, relaxing, and hot hot hot!



Also, this summer i'm continuing to check things off from my list of SUMMER OF FUN. I checked off a bunch after my 30th BIRTHDAY, but i have continued since. So, here's my update:

1. ✔ Dive out of a plane on my 30th birthday!!
2. ✔ Party it up for my “dirty thirty” on Grand Prix weekend in Montreal!
3. ✔ ✔ Vacation  double check! St-Martin and Los Cabos !
4. Going to the shooting range (with my sister who's the gun expert - not joking!)
5. Bixi Bike riding in the city
6. Weekend with the girls to celebrate our 30th birthdays this summer! seem to be having lots of mini-parties instead!
7. Painting and drawing on my balcony/or take a class
8. ✔ Going to watch soccer match: Manchester United vs. Real Madrid in New Jersey (July)! couldn't get tickets, but went to an Impact game instead! (not the same , but still fun)
9. Book my tickets for the 2012 Summer Olympics (London, England) this dream is not looking hopeful...
10. Date Date Date. Join Match.com before my 30th birthday, so that i can enter my info as being 29!! don't need to since i got back with my guy :)
11. Master the art of making “James' Cheeseburgers”!! still needing James for this one...
12. ✔ Walk everywhere that i can -- up and down the hill i live on... 
13. Go to church, even if it is just one Sunday
14. ✔ Weekend away at Val's for a girl's weekend of girl talk, swimming and shopping!!
15. ✔ Teach my godson to play soccer! (i tried... it's maybe i bit too soon...)
16. Try to get MY knees in working condition so that i can play soccer too!! 
17. ✔ To actually finish some of the books i'm reading
18. ✔ To email less and facetime more (this goes with buying my iphone4 in June ✔)
19. And finally, to have more amazing nights of drinks and catching up with friends that i don't see enough still need to do this one!

So, as the Summer is winding down, i have a few more things to do, but overall it's been an amazing Summer, despite working like a dog... promise to write more frequently, and soon! xx

Dirty thirty

So I survived my Dirty Thirty, but I’m still recovering 4 days later!

First thing checked off my SUMMER OF FUN list =  ✔ skydiving!
Yes, I actually did it! And it was the most exhilarating feeling! I recommend Parachutisme Adrenaline (located in St-Jerome, QC) to any first-time jumpers. I will definitely go back again!


Next thing to check off my list = ✔ partying it up for my 30th; on Grand Prix weekend in Montreal. We partied at Ballroom with VIP service. I highly recommend them for any night you want to party! The night was epic. Lots of fun, lots of booze, lots of friends = happiness! I wouldn’t have changed a thing! Ok well... maybe the rainy-cold weather... oh and.. the 40 minute walk at the end of the night to find a cab! Apart from that; it was the perfect evening!



Thanks friends for the balloons, cupcakes & flowers at work, the wonderful BBQ with friends, & the night of partying! It was a special day xo I've got a GOOD feeling about my thirties when i'm surrounded by so many good friends and family xo

Goodbye 29!

Today is my last day of my twenties. 

I'm going to smile at every guy i see, wear a flirty outfit and my sexiest shoes. Gonna milk these twenties while i still can! I hope my thirties will be as fabulous as my twenties!!!
Be prepared for my big DIRTY THIRTY update at the end of the weekend! Hopefully i will be sober enough to write!! xx

NYC

What happens in NYC, stays in NYC! Especially for a dirty thirty ;)

Soooo many “dirty thirty's” to come this year! How fun is that?!

NYC baby!

I'm off to NYC — NOT for a wedding, NOT for a bachelorette, NOT for a baby shower, NOT for an engagement party OR EVEN to celebrate someone's wedding anniversary...

We're 5 girls and we're going to NYC to celebrate my great friend S's 30th birthday!!

GO CRAZY OH BABY! We're celebrating how AWESOME it is to turn 30 and be successful without husbands or babies!! 

Reservations at a boutique hotel, road trip with our own car, drinks on hand, high heels, cute dresses, and reservations at NYC's hottest spots! Maybe we'll even party with the Downtown Girls while we're there! SO EXCITING! I think I need this weekend more than S does ;)


P.S I will be TRYING to take a “mini-vacation” from my phone, so we'll see how that goes ;) but there might be surprise updates as we go!! 

eek i'm 29!

Ok so i turned 29 last week...
It's just now i realize that i have to rewrite all my descriptions for Blogger, my About Me page, my Twitter account, and my Facebook Fan Page. Gosh... how am i going to word this?!

Here are a few ideas:

“ I'm 29, dating and FREAKING OUT because next year i'm 30!” ok maybe that's not very smooth...

“I'm a 29 year old single gal, looking for love... or at least a good date! I'm trying not to think about my lifeplan i made up when i was 10, about where i was going to be when i turned 30... trying very hard... but can't help but hear the ticking every once and a while...” HAHA no, that's depressing

Ok so instead let's write it something like this:

“I'm 29, i'm single, and (most the time) i'm lovin it!! Life is short, it's time to do the things you love! My friends are my heart, my family is my rock, i have a fabulous apartment in the city, and i have a crazy dating life! Follow along as the craziness continues! ”

 What do you guys think? Good to go? ;)
